Tulmar introduces new classroom-sized evacuation training equipment
Hawkesbury, ON, Canada (March 14th, 2018) – Tulmar Safety Systems, a leading provider of cabin crew training products and related services announces a family of compact classroom versions of emergency evacuation slides. The slide, a scaled-down versions of actual emergency evacuation slide, was created to support customers desiring to expose a large number of trainees to the equipment while providing training in the confined space of a classroom.
The slides are offered in standard configurations, equipped with all the signage and markings, tie-downs, sea lights, re-entry straps and other emergency essentials and can include a fully detachable girt.
In a study released in 2017 , Boeing estimates that 839,000 new cabin crew will be needed worldwide over the next 20 years to meet the growing demand for air travel. This does not take into consideration recurring training of cabin crew.
“Because of increased pressure on airlines to train flight crews in growing numbers we see that airlines want to increase the use classrooms for teaching. Even with the increasing use of virtual reality-based training solutions, in the words of some of our customers, you cannot replace the experience of touching and feeling. This is especially true when it comes to practicing girt detachment for example” said Patrick Phillips, Vice President of Business Development.
