The Spreader Bar is attached to a Sling, between two Sling Leg Chains, to protect the load by preventing any contact between the Sling Leg Chains and the Load. A Spreader Bar is a compression strut. It consists of an aluminum tube with an End Fitting and Drop Nose Pin attached to both ends. The end fitting is designed to attach to the chain on a Sling Leg and the Drop Nose Pin secures the chain in position. Two types of Spreader Bar, Medium Duty (MD) and Heavy Duty (HD) are available in various sizes (from 1000mm to 3400mm) depending on the required use.
