Custom Design & Fabrication

Tulmar manufactures custom components for OEM shelter systems. Applications include flysheets for accordion shelters and end-walls for international humanitarian and disaster relief. We use fabrics made to military specifications and manufacturing techniques that incorporate RF welding technology in place of sewing for enhanced water resistance and extended product life.

Our development team can provide design assistance to enhance custom components by adding insulation and innovative attachment systems.  We also design shelter components and vehicle tent adapters for  military applications.

TEMS (Tent Expandable Modular System)

Tulmar provides manufacturing and repair & overhaul services for front walls, rear walls, centers and other components of the TEMS shelter system, the primary field shelter used by the Canadian army. TEMS components are constructed from specialty coated fabrics that have been engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and have IR reflective camouflage properties.  Fabrication of military tent components utilizes RF welding technology and a minimum of sewn seams to enhance the weatherproof capabilities.
