Design Engineering Our design engineers use 3-D solid modelling software in the design of life rafts, training slides, shelters and other inflatable products. |

Design Validation Testing Tulmar carries out design validation testing as part of the product development process. Here we are testing the integrity and water resistance of our inflatable shelter with high-pressure water spray from a pumper truck. |

Qualification Testing Many of our products are certified to international standards and undergo rigorous qualification testing. This is a photograph of a sea trial being carried out as part of TSO-C70a certification for our military aviation life raft. |

Electronic cutting Our computerized electronic cutting table provides flexibility in order quantity, allowing us to cut a single unit or 100 with maximum efficiency and minimum waste. |
|

Sewing Many of our fabric products are sewn. We use state-of-the-art programmable machines designed to accommodate the engineered coated fabrics used to construct our military protective products. |
|

RF-Welding Radio-frequency welding is used to seal the seams on our military protective covers, tentage and shelter systems. RF-welding creates durable, waterproof seams. |
|

Adhesive Bonding Many of our products incorporate adhesive bonding. Our inflatable life rafts and slides are constructed from neoprene or Hypalon rubber. Seam tape is applied over the bonded seams to increase strength and durability. |

Building Inflatables Our large inflatable products such as dual-lane training slides and inflatable shelters are constructed using a combination of sewing, RF-welding and adhesive bonding. Structures are inflated and tested during the construction process. |
