Tulmar Safety Systems Announces Life Preserver Supply and Maintenance Contracts

Hawkesbury, ON, Canada – May 19, 2017
Tulmar Safety Systems has been awarded two competitive multi-year contracts to supply inflatable life preservers to the Royal Canadian Navy. The contracts are valued at $4.2 million are for the supply 12,800 Maritime Pouch and Hazardous Duty life preservers. These constant-wear life saving devices are worn by members of RCN and Naval Reserves.
Tulmar was also recently awarded a competitive contract to provide the Department of National Defence with repair & overhaul and warehousing services for Army flotation equipment. Valued at $2.2 million, the contract is fixed for two years and includes 6 additional 1-year option periods. Under the contract, Tulmar will maintain DND’s inventory of Army life preservers, distribute products as needed to operational units and provide technical investigation and engineering support services.
